The combination of salty and sweet flavors is nothing new – just watch the cups of salted caramel, popcorn, and peanut butter increase.

But Ben and Jerry’s are pushing the envelope even further with their new ice cream flavor, which features french fries or potato chips as they say in North America.

The brand has launched the new Chip Happens ice cream in association with Netflix and the streaming service’s baking program, Right on the spot!.

In addition to potato chips, chocolate ice cream also contains chunks of fudge and “salty swirls.”

“Sometimes” chip “happens and everything is a mess, but we nailed it! with this limited batch full of chips, “says the brand on its website.

“When the soft chocolate ice cream meets the chocolate flakes and the salty swirls, a serious crunch comes together. The best part? There will be nothing left to clean «.

Although the flavor is already on sale in the US. It will soon cross the pond and be available at Asda here in the UK, costing £ 4.50 per bathtub.

However, as a limited edition flavor, it may not be available for long.

Ben and Jerry’s is known for its hipster and experimental ice cream flavors.

There’s even a “Flavor Graveyard” at the company’s Vermont factory, which lists discontinued flavors on graveyard headstones that include Purple Passion Fruit and Rainforest Crunch.

The brand is also often praised for its activism and commitment to political issues.

Ben and Jerry recently released a statement in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

He stressed the “urgent need to take concrete steps to dismantle white supremacy in all its forms.”

“We have to speak out loud. We have to unite with the victims of murder, marginalization and repression due to the color of their skin, and with those who seek justice through protests across our country. We have to say his name: George Floyd, ”said the firm.

Last year, the ice cream maker created a new flavor called Justice ReMix to “highlight structural racism in a broken criminal legal system.”

The company said a portion of the proceeds from ice cream sales would go to the National Advancement Project Office to support its work advocating for criminal justice reform.
